On the 18th, the Geumgang Basin Environmental Office held the "Initiation Ceremony of Chemical Safety Community of Large and Small Businesses in Jincheon, Chungbuk" at Hanwha Q Cell Korea Co., Ltd. to establish a joint response system for chemical accidents between companies.
The Chemical Safety Community of Large and Small Businesses in Jincheon, Chungcheongbuk-do, is organized by Hanwha Q Cell Korea Co., Ltd. and consists of a total of five companies, including P&H Tech Co., Ltd., Econex Co., and Chemitop Co., Ltd.
Ryu Sung-joo, managing director of Hanwha Q Cell Korea Co., Ltd., Moon Young-ki, vice chairman of Feswell Co., Hyun Seo-yong, CEO of P&H Tech Co., Lee Sang-yeop, head of the plant of Econex Co., and Lee Chan-gu, CEO of Chemitop Co., Ltd., attended the launch ceremony and pledged to strengthen the safety management of chemicals by signing an agreement to form a chemical safety community in Jincheon.
The agreement focuses on cooperation between the public and private sectors on preventing and responding to chemical accidents, such as establishing joint disaster prevention plans between large and small companies, sharing disaster prevention resources for large companies in case of chemical accidents, and supporting environmental safety education and technology.
We expect the launch of a chemical safety community based on mutual cooperation between large and small companies today to further strengthen the local chemical accident response system, and we will make more efforts to protect the health and environment of local residents in the future, said Ko Jong-young, head of the Geumgang Environment Agency."
